    Position Summary

     

    Tandem Driver: Hauling asphalt, road base, and other construction materials to and from various paving and construction sites. Job also involves loading/unloading and transporting construction equipment while working closely with crew to complete projects in and efficient manner.

     

    Job Responsibilities

    • Knowledge and experience in the Asphalt Industry.
    • Willing and able to work weekends and nights as required.
    • Familiar with all FMCSA rules and regulations in the operation of a CMV.
    • Able to perform and document a Pre and Post Trip Inspection.
    • Perform daily preventative maintenance, record and inspection on vehicles

     

     

    Minimum Education and Experience

    • Class B CDL with a minimum of 2 years' driving experience.
    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Possess a safe driving record and clean drug screen

     

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Self-starter and punctual
    • Maintain good customer relations by acting in a professional, courteous manner
    • Exercise good judgment regarding work site access, unloading and operation to and from work site
    • Ability to perform well in a team

     

    Physical Requirements

     

    • Lift objects of various size and weight
    •  

    • Ability to tolerate working outdoors in all environmental temperatures and weather
    • Most time is spent outside in all weather conditions-heat, cold, wet or dry. May have exposure to dust, sand, gravel, diesel exhaust, etc.
