    Position Summary

     

    Responsible for managing the safe loading and unloading of large and overweight pieces. The ability to rig, climb and properly tie down equipment and materials safely are a major responsibility of the job. Loading and unloading items from appropriate trailers, such as lowboy and flatbed trailers required. All maintenance and repair of the fleet will be supported by this position while traveling. When not traveling additional duties will include maintenance and operation of equipment. This position will include short-notice overnight travel on occasion, always home on weekends. 

     

    Requirements 

    • HS Diploma or equivalent required
    • Must have a Class A CDL and be able to pass a DOT Physical
    • Previous experience of Class A CDL hauling of heavy equipment stronly preferred
    • Strong mechanical background and working knowledge of diesel engines and tractor trailer general maintenance and repair
    • Must be self-motivated, possess a strong work ethic and be able to work with minimal supervision and at high level of accountability to operational requirements
    • Strong communication skills, both one on one and in group settings within and outside of the organization
    • Must be willing to travel long distances and work flexible night and weekend hours when required
    • Basic Computer skills preferred
    • Heavy equipment operating skills are a plus for quarry equipment movement
